TED rewards the best Smart City ideas

Entrepreneurs with innovative ideas on future cities were awarded at the TEDGlobal conference in Edinburgh.

TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) usually rewards a person, but this year it was an idea called “City 2.0” which received all the attention and prizes.

City 2.0 is composed of ten projects that help to improve city life, which will be receiving $10.000 each.

Some of the announced winners are: an open code designer with his project “wiki-house”, Ruganzu Bruno who will use the money from the prize to create a game centre completely built with recycled plastic bottles.

All rewarded projects can be seen on the web of “City 2.0”
