Smart city prototype launched in Chilean commune

“Smart City Santiago” is a smart city project to be developed in the commune of Huechuraba, Chile.

The project is part of the vision for Santiago to become a city of the future, where quality of life will be improved via home automation, or domotics, solar power via photo-voltaic panels and automation of the electricity network.

With the “Smart City Santiago” initiative, Chile joins other similar projects that have been developed in diverse cities such as Stockholm, Dubai, Columbus (Ohio, USA) and Boulder (Colorado, USA).
