The Spanish city of Murcia will be the first in Europe to install street lamps equipped with outlets to charge smartphones and tablets. Until now, this type of system only existed in New York. All citizens will be able to take advantage of this project.
In order for the system to be fully autonomous, the street lamps will contain solar panels that will help charge the batteries housed inside of them.
The street lamps will use LED lights that boast an extraordinary efficiency/consumption ratio in order to save money.
