Experts from the Regional Consortium of Transportation in Madrid (CRTM) have been invited to participate as speakers in the “Summit of Smart Cities” that will take place in Chile. It is considered the most important convention about smart cities in all of Latin America.
Madrid has been setting an example on account of its optimal management of public transport, which is an essential component in the creation of smart cities. One of the most important aspects of the system is the continuous innovation of the Integral Management Center of Public Transport (CITRAM) in Madrid.
This entity has the ability to supervise the entire public transport system in real time, including the state of the vehicles that provide daily service throughout the city, various informational panels and surveillance cameras.
The goal is to implement everything in a coordinated way and offer helpful information to users in real time, optimizing the quality of service.
