Japanese project aims to turn Yokohama into a smart city

The Yokohama Smart City Project (YscP) is an effort to develop a model for smart cities through cooperation between citizens, private companies and the government.

Large-scale operational experiments are underway in Yokohama, which is a large and advanced city with a wide range of topography. The hierarchical clustering of energy management systems (EMS) allows energy management at the individual level and provides this city with one of the most advanced energy distribution systems.
