A new state-of-the-art command and control center has opened in the Philippine province of Bataan.
Equipped with the latest closed circuit television (CCTV) camera technology, an emergency call center, bikes and patrol cars, the 1Bataan command center aims to enhance public safety, monitor the Roman Expressway and respond to emergency and disaster calls, as well as improve peace and order conditions in the province.
Abet S. Garcia, Governor of Bataan expressed that the first task of the center would be the monitoring of the APEC event in Bagac, Bataan. “There will be a lot of CCTV cameras [linked to the command center] and patrol vehicles.”
Aside from the patrol cars, Garcia said that the provincial government has also purchased 650cc brand new big bikes to conduct 24 hours regular patrol along the strategic highway.
