You can already imagine the federal district full of electric cars, houses powered with solar energy or new payment methods for public transport.
The possibilities are multiple and Mexico capital could adopt a digital city model in the future, where technology will be at the citizens’ service.
All this will be presented in the Comunidad Digital México meeting, which will take place on 1-6 October in the Banamex Centre. You will see some of the city’s spaces, such as the Zócalo and the Government buildings, hospitals, schools, houses and avenues, with intelligent technology provided by Mexican and foreign companies over a surface of 5,000 squared meters. The aim is to teach the citizens about these technologies’ potential benefits for society.
