Quito hosted the first International Citizen Security Conference from November 4-6.
The meeting’s objectives were:
1. To share experiences regarding public policy formation on the subject of citizen security, creating opportunities for cooperation between governmental and private entities.
2. To share reflections from academics on the existing processes in Citizen Security that help to strengthen public policy.
3. To share experiences using new technologies that strengthens citizen security.
The first International Citizen Security Conference aimed to demonstrate good practices as well as share the experiences of the state and private sectors when it comes to citizen security.
