Antonio Bonfatti, Governor of the Argentinean province of Santa Fe, announced the video surveillance project he will implement in the province. This project comprises the installation of approximately 600 surveillance cameras in the cities of Rosario and Santa Fe and their metropolitan areas.
The cameras will allow the identification of reported vehicles’ license plates and will be able to recognize human faces.
As the governor explained: “The cameras have a video analysis software that makes license plate and face recognition possible. They will generate information for forensic investigation.”
